Scout Group leaders receive honours
Parents of the 1st Naruna and Constantia Scout Group held a surprise celebration to congratulate their scout leaders, who received honours for their years of service at the Scouts Western Cape Region annual awards ceremony. Among the honoured scout leaders, from left, is Ruan Myburgh, a scout who helped with the celebration of all award recipients; including, Julia Myburgh, his mother, who received the Regional Commissioner’s Commendation award; Peter Meyer, who received “The Order of the Silver Protea Medal” for his selfless service, extraordinary commitment, and unwavering dedication to scouting over a lifetime; Sue Viljoen, who also received a Regional Commissioner’s Commendation award; and Lance Logan, who was likewise awarded a Regional Commissioner’s Commendation.
