Author Tony Park spoke about his two latest books, at Constantia Village, on Wednesday November 22.

Bwana, There’s a Body in the Bath, is Park’s biography of 99-year-old Peter Whitehead, who has led an adventurous life with many near-death experiences and was still working at age 86 training horses.

Park’s latest thriller, Vendetta, is set on the KwaZulu-Natal coast where researcher Adam Kruger runs into a crooked fisherman hunting for shark fin. This is a prized delicacy in parts of Asia. Unscrupulous fishermen will catch a shark, cut off its fin – sometimes while it's still alive – and then keep the fin but dump the rest of the shark at sea.

Bookshop manager Natasha Beckman, left, of Plumstead, invited Tony Park to launch his books. She is pictured with Annette Chouler, of Fish Hoek. Picture: supplied
