Comedy in Obs

Staff Reporter|Published 9 months ago

Actor, writer, and stand-up comedian Kate Pinchuck will be the host at 100% Comedy Vol. 3 on Thursday August 1 at HundredPercent Café, 287 Lower Main Road, Observatory, at 8pm. Headlining the show is Jaryd Pillay who won the Jive Funny Championship this year. In Passion of the Curry, Pillay explores cultural displacement. He will be followed by Khanyisile Ngwenya whose unbreakable spirit pushed her to finally jump onto the stage and start telling jokes in December 2020. Joining them are Tumi Mkha, a Christian, mother and financial advisor who boasts six years in comedy. Newcomer Yuval Nicolas Douglas Henshilwood and Andie Reeves round-up the line-up. Tickets cost from R60. For R160, a meal prepared by Thuly’s Kitchen is included. Book through Quicket.
