Cameron Payne from the DeMoyencourt School of Ballet in Oranjezicht; Zara Yazbek Polito from the Juanita Yazbek Dance Academy in Sea Point; Kai Damon from Reddam House Academy of Dance in Tokai; and Sinethemba Wisani-Jacqui Pells School of Ballet in Westlake are four of the ballet dancers who will be taking part as ‘Child Alice’ in Cape Town City Ballet’s upcoming Alice in Wonderland that opens Friday, December 12, at Artscape for a two-week season.

The ballet has been choreographed by Gerard Butler and features a large cast, including 90 children from various ballet schools in and around Cape Town, rotating throughout the season at different performances.

The ballet is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. The production follows Alice as she tails White Rabbit into a fantastical realm filled with curious characters, unexpected adventures, and striking choreography.

Tickets for Alice in Wonderland are available through Webtickets and 021 421 7695.
