Max Melvill, from Kirstenhof, caught this yellowfin tuna weighing 30 to 40kg two days after his 11th birthday, on Saturday April 30. His dad, Chris Melvill, says he likes to give his son experiences that will make memories that will last a lifetime. They were 25 nautical miles due south of Cape Point when Max caught the fish. He also gutted and cleaned it.
