Americans around the world celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 24, and as part of their festivities, the American International School of Cape Town pupils made sandwiches with over 200 loaves of bread for the Amazing Grace Upliftment Centre’s feeding scheme in Westlake. School staff members Kim Quickfall and Faith Dzikiri are pictured at the handover of their donation of ham-and-cheese and peanut butter-and-jam sandwiches. Amazing Grace founder Lydia Ingpen said, “We were able to feed so many people and make sure that they could start the weekend with a full stomach. Your donation is greatly appreciated.” The feeding scheme serves meals to more than 60 children daily and 300 people at their soup kitchen from Monday to Friday. Contact Ms Ingpen on 082 359 3011 for more information.
