Residents of PlumRus Trianon, Rathfelder, Riverside Place and Fernbridge retirement centres took part in chair exercise sessions at 3Arts Village Shopping Centre in Plumstead on Tuesday October 29 for World Stroke Awareness Day. Deputy mayor Eddie Andrews, joined in and emphasised the vital role that regular exercise plays in being healthy. Staff from PlumRus and the Constantiaberg MediClinic Stroke Support Group provided free blood-pressure testing and information about how to recognise stroke warning signs. Picture: supplied
