SA Library Week will be celebrated nationally from Monday March 17 to Sunday March 23 and the theme this year is "Libraries for sustainable communities" to underscore the role that libraries play in fostering sustainability, resilience, inclusivity, and accessibility within communities.
Plumstead library has a week-long list of events to highlight the theme and will be running a fine-free week, where all current fines will be waived.
On Monday March 17 at 10am, there will be a talk led by Chaeli Mycroft, ability activist and author of Unapologetically able: 25 years of living and laughing with my disability. All are welcome, refreshments will be provided.
On Tuesday March 18 at 10am, a tree planting in partnership with the City's Recreation and Parks Department will be held at the Glenbridge Special School and Resource Centre.
On Wednesday March 19 at 1pm, there will be a storytelling- and pampering session with the elderly residents of Plumstead Rusoord.
