The Lions Club of Tokai hosted its Bag-A-Burger environmental project on Saturday, May 24, at the Soetwater Environmental Centre.

The project forms part of Lions International’s environment service pillar, combining education and public service.

Fifty-one children from Masiphumelele took part in a beach clean-up and each child received a burger for lunch as a reward for their efforts.

In partnership with Soetwater Environmental Centre, Lions Club members and the children worked together to clean the coastline. The youth spent the day learning about environmental care, enjoyed a bird identification session, a snake and reptile show, and took on an obstacle course.

The Lions Club of Tokai extends heartfelt thanks to the Soetwater Environmental Centre for their continued support and collaboration.
