New flooring enhances Cape Peninsula/Bergvliet Girl Guides hall

The Girl Guides from the Cape Peninsula/Bergvliet Girl Guides can look forward to a brand new floor at their hall when they arrive for their next meeting on Tuesday July 22.

The new floor was completed on Thursday, July 17. District commissioner for the Cape Peninsula/Bergvliet Girl Guides, Cheryl Stuart, said they had to install a new floor at their hall, which is located in Park Road, Bergvliet, after the old floor, which had been over 60 years old, was beyond repair.

“The floor was completed by a professional company beyond our skills. We did a lot of fundraising over the last few years. Many pancakes were sold at markets,” she said. Ms Stuart said the new floor will allow the girls to play and dance, and do various other activities.
