Constantia Primary School was a solid performer in the inaugural School Enrichment Awards, hosted by the Metropole South Education Department (MSED) on Friday, October 24, at the Zwaanswyk Academy in Retreat.
Constantia Primary School stood out by securing three prestigious trophies for its unwavering commitment to holistic development. They won a runners-up award for Enrichment School of the Year, while Principal Alastair Adams accepted the runners-up award for Sports Principal of the Year, and the school’s sports coach, Courtney Klein, accepted the runners-up award for Male Coach of the Year.
Throughout 2025, Constantia Primary has participated in numerous events, including soccer and netball tournaments, rugby matches, and the school arts festival. These achievements are the result of the relentless dedication of the entire school team.
Mr Adams said, “We cannot do it without a team. Constantia Primary is where we are because of the staff and learners,” he said.
Mr Klein said: “Success isn’t always about getting better; it’s about sustaining what we have.”
He said that it is not about winning; it’s about the opportunity.
The School Enrichment Awards also featured celebrities like Emo Adams, JP Duminy, Pieter de Villiers, Laurian Johannes Haupt, and Sean D, who presented honours in various categories. Even those celebrities unable to attend sent encouraging video messages, with heartfelt tributes from Daylin Oliver, Alastair Isobel, and Marc Lottering elevating the night’s spirit.
