Heatherton House excelled at the Perservaria LSEN Eisteddfod, where pupils received the results in the middle of last month.
The Plumstead-based school for neurodiverse teenagers took part in the Eisteddfod for all special needs pupils in South Africa, which aims to give pupils a safe space to live out their talent in performing and visual arts.
Heatherton House principal Janet van Wyk said teens took part in various categories, including mixed media art, 3D art models, and photography, as well as a group dance. “Our teens performed exceptionally well, all receiving over 90% for their art pieces and 80% for their group dance,” she said.
