The Cellars-Hohenort will open its gardens to the public, in aid of St Luke’s Combined Hospices, on Sunday, November 30, from 11am to 5pm.

“Visitors can meander through The Cellars-Hohenort’s exquisite grounds,” said Tanya Johnson, general manager of The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel and Spa. The gardens feature “meticulously curated landscapes that range from lush, expansive lawns to hidden garden nooks where nature’s artistry takes centre stage.”

A forest section includes camphor trees dating back 300 years, while the Formal Rose Garden features the Liz McGrath Rose, hybridised in 2003 to mark the 80th birthday of the late Mrs Liz McGrath, founder of The Liz McGrath Collection, said Ms Johnson.

Tickets include a cup of tea and a freshly baked scone served on the Hohenort terrace. They are available only through Quicket at R195 for adults and R95 for children under 12, and must be bought in advance.
