Wynberg police and community partners walked around the Wynberg CBD and surrounding areas to raise awareness for the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children campaign on Thursday, November 27.

This awareness walk was led by Wynberg police acting station commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Kleinsmith, and Visible Policing members, and they were joined by the Wynberg Community Policing Forum (CPF), Sparrow Society, Varsity College Law Clinic, the provincial Department of Social Development, and the City of Cape Town's Law Enforcement.

The walk started from Wynberg police station down Church Street, continuing into Wynberg Main Road, through Wynberg Centre and Wynberg Interchange in Station Road, then stopped at Maynard Mall before proceeding past Wynberg Magistrate Court and back to Wynberg police station, where the walk ended. Messages were displayed on placards, and pamphlets were also distributed, with participants raising awareness to eradicate gender-based violence and femicide
