Constantia Primary School bids farewell to long-serving caretaker, Eloise Williams who retires at the end of the year.
Ms Williams, from Uitsig, Constantia, has dedicated 43 years to Constantia Primary School.
“It was a good experience working at Constantia Primary. I loved working with the pupils and staff,” she said.
One of Ms Williams' career highlights was receiving her 40-year service award from the Western Cape Education Department. She also enjoyed her promotion to general foreman of the school. “I worked to keep the facilities in top condition and worked in the school vegetable garden that would support the school’s feeding scheme,” she said.
Ms Williams plans to enjoy her retirement, spending more time with her family and grandchildren.
Principal Alistair Adams said Ms Williams showed unmatched loyalty, love, and dedication during her long years at the school.
“The legacy she leaves behind is one of hard work, integrity, and a passion for excellence,” he said.
