Singer Selim Kagee is set to light up the stage at the Star Theatre later this month with his highly anticipated musical performance, Il Mondo – Relive Every Memory, A Timeless Experience.

Mr Kagee, from Diep River, said there was a special magic in the music of the past.

With a voice reminiscent of the legendary crooners who once graced the grand stages of London, Las Vegas, and Rome, Mr Kagee continues to define classical crossover excellence in South Africa, captivating audiences with artistry, elegance, and undeniable star quality.

Moving away from modern radio trends, the performance pays tribute to a musical tradition rooted in lush orchestration, refined interpretation, and profound emotional connection.

The programme features a carefully curated selection of 20th-century classics,  from the sweeping grandeur of Il Mondo to the intimate sincerity of Always On My Mind and the perennial favourite  And I Love You So. The repertoire is anchored by a powerful rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water, delivered with the vocal gravitas that has become a hallmark of Mr Kagee’s live performances.

Il Mondo – Relive Every Memory, A Timeless Experience takes place at the Star Theatre at the District Six Homecoming Centre on Saturday, February 28, with two performances, which include 3pm and 7pm shows.
