The City of Cape Town’s Plumstead office, including the motor-vehicle registration and licensing offices, will be closed for urgent renovations and maintenance, from Thursday May 12 to Monday May 16, and will reopen on Tuesday May 17.
The public should visit alternative customer-care and motor-vehicle registration and licensing offices during this time or use online services where possible.
Municipal accounts may be paid at any Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, PEP, Woolworths, USave, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up and selected Spar shops. Online payments may be made at www.powertime.co.za or www.easypay.co.za, and the renewal of motor vehicle licences may be made online at eservices.capetown.gov.za.
To pay using an ATM, contract your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary. To pay by EFT, select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference
Payment of pre-due date traffic fines may be made at selected Spar shops or online at www.easypay.co.za, clicks.co.za and at www.paycity.co.za.
You can register for online City services at eservices.capetown.gov.za to renew vehicle licences, submit water/electricity readings, pay accounts online, view current account and account history, apply to receive accounts by email and log service requests.
