Members of the Diep River Community Police Forum executive committee spent Saturday November 19 giving their offices and the victim support room at Diep River police station a facelift.
The work is just a small part of a bigger renovation project that is needed at the police station, according to the CPF.
Diep River CPF chairwoman Fiona Schwimmbacher said that due to budget cuts, the station needed help to get three of its buildings in good working order.
She said CPF had received a donation of paint for the front exterior of the police station but it was hoping a painting company would be willing to donate its workers for two days to paint the building, including the detectives’ block and the charge office.
Help is also needed with general repairs and maintenance.
