The Rotary Club of Constantia has donated 50 pairs of shoes made from non-hazardous recycled medical waste to Westlake Primary School. The shoes are produced by My Walk, a nationwide initiative that provides the shoes, which are made from drip bags, tubing and other medical waste that has been sanitised and recycled. Principal Tracey Petersen-Brown received the shoes from the club’s charter member and past district-governor, Lloyd Whitfield, left, and club president Ian Hart, on Monday, February 12.
