Mike Barrett, Constantia
I walk my dog on the Silverhurst Trail greenbelt twice daily and what I and many others find annoying are the little plastic bags of dog poo left lying on the green belt.
Firstly to the culprits, who do they think is going to pick up their litter.
Secondly, besides the eyesore and while the intention is good by picking up their dogs faeces and placing it in plastic bags, all that they are achieving is creating additional pollution.
There is no excuse as there are refuse bins at the start of the trail on Constantia Road and at the wooden bridge at the bottom of Silverhurst Drive.
To all the “do gooders” please think before discarding your plastic bags and consider other walkers on the green belt as they do not want to be witness to your dog poo packs littering the area.
