The SA under-15 baseball side currently in action at the World Baseball Confederation (WBSC) under-15 World Cup in Colombia.

The SA under-15 baseball side is currently in action at the World Baseball Confederation (WBSC) under-15 World Cup in Colombia. Slotted in Group B, along with Mexico, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela and The Netherlands.

Westridge Yankees’ SA under-15 squad members, are from left, Zac Young, Lyle Farrel and Baariq Hermans. The trio have been playing together since the age of four, starting off as peewees at Yankees.

A starter pitcher in the match against Mexico, Baariq held his ground against the second-ranked team at the tournament, restricting them to four runs off him during his half of the game, but ultimately, Mexico got the better of Team SA.
Trial by fire for the SA under-15 side as they faced second-ranked Mexico in their opening fixture at the WBSC under-15 Baseball World Cup in Colombia.
