Defending Western Province champions St George’s remain on course to successfully defend their Western Province Score 7’s title after recording three wins on the opening day one of the annual event, at Brookside, Claremont, last Saturday.
The Lulu Boys from Strand recorded wins over Elsies River, Strand and Fisantekraal while they lost 5-26 against Tygerberg. But despite the hiccup, they remain on track for the popular title.
The tournament continues with day two’s action at Brookside, home of the Villager Rugby team in Claremont, this Saturday.
Thirty-five teams were drawn into six groups. The final is scheduled to take place on Saturday November 18.
