Zone 7 BMX Club, situated just off the N7 highway, has reopened its doors, or rather its track, after an extensive rebuild.

This comes at the perfect time, as the club is set to host its most significant events yet: the SA BMX Cup 7 and 8, along with the SA National Championships, scheduled for the weekend of September 28 and 29.

The rebuild began back in February, with the track team working tirelessly to create a facility capable of hosting top-tier BMX competitions.

The track now offers a smooth progression for riders of all ages, from 6-year-olds to seasoned riders. The layout is designed to challenge competitors while allowing them to race in a safe and competitive environment.

Work at Zone 7 BMX track is complete and they are ready to host the two last rounds of SA BMX Cup and SA Championships.

Club officials are preparing for an influx of riders and spectators, with around 200 competitors expected to descend on the newly-rebuilt track for the weekend-long festivities.

Riders will come from across the country, competing in various age categories and classes for national honours and cup points.

Hosting the SA BMX Cup and the National Championships is a major step forward for Zone 7 BMX Club, positioning it as a key player in the growth and development of BMX racing in South Africa.
